Why is XenForo so expensive

Someone please correct me, but I'm kind of confused on why everyone is comparing the cost of Xenforo in US Dollars. Shouldnt the default pricing be in English Pounds, since this is a UK product?

dollar is the global currency, the world is running on it, that's why most countries stick to the dollar instead of British pound, Argentinian peso, Colombian Peso, Real etc.

Have you seen the movies where the Narcos like Escobar, El Chapo etc get paid? Is it in the Mexican and Colombian Peso? No, bc with Dollars you can achieve more. That's also one of the reasons why Apple for example lists their App Store prices in some countries in US dollar, instead of the local currency.

And no, I am not American, just to clarify so you don't think I worship the dollar or something

You can tell from their Avatar and low quality posts in various threads the type of person they are. Or bot. Hard to say. They’re the best example of Poe’s Law here.

In my country, many people use pirated software. Not because they agree with piracy but for reasons that we may all understand.

However, this is disrespectful to the developers. Also, it is not right for a website with big goals to use pirated software. In the future, when it starts generating income, it can buy XenForo anyway.

Anyway. I already use a XenForo website (Techolay) that I like. I think I will continue to use Flarum on my website (Still not completed).

IPBoard is more expensive than XenForo

Yes, but that doesn't justify XenForo being expensive, just like it doesn't mean IPBoard is better than XenForo.
