Who is Steve Machol?

Back it up everyone. Kier, Mike and I worked with Steve for a long time. He is well thought of and highly respected. I daresay that all he was saying (confirming) was that he has not been contacted by us in regards to an offer to work here.

Here, at XenForo, we have a truly wonderful team who are doing a fantastic job. We are thrilled and fortunate to have their help and they are more than capable and more than fulfill our current requirements.

Steve is a standup guy, no doubt. The way IB treated him was shameful, to say the least. This is the recommendation I gave him on Linkedin...it sums up my opinion of him perfectly:
As a customer who's business was solely dependent on the software the company Steve worked for produced, his support was mission critical. On every occasion, without fail, I could count on Steve to provide timely, superior support. He was always calm and cool in the face of adversity and would be a feather in any company's cap as an employee.

Steve is another great soul for the forum development community. I've always appreciated like many have mentioned here his awesome attitude and respect for other people. Can't wait to see XF taking over the market and hiring cool guys all over the place! :)

Oh that's nice. Rude customer support sucks. He sounds cool then.
To a lot of people he's "cool" but the other half, you have people who's had sour experiences with him.

I've unfortunately experienced the sour ones with Steve. I even had to go so far to speak to one of his bosses, but those that worked with him will stand up for him. Just like the hundreds, thousands of people who vouch for him.

In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if Brogan was designed after Steve, or Brogan is Steve.

I actually found Steve Machol to be fairly arrogant during all my encounters with him.

*shrugs*

he's super cool.

What an odd thread. My only interaction with Steve was in vB's licensed customer feedback forum where things got pretty vile. He always managed to stay respectful and keep his cool, regardless of people directing their frustration at him. Class act.

Well, I'm not sure he's expecting a job offer any time soon. I don't know, though. XenForo is too new and too in debt due to the lawsuit to have any more paid employees, I would imagine. But he would be a great addition here, I can say that much. Nothing but respect for a guy who took the high road and left a "morally bankrupt company".

I believe Steve left/was let go when he got named in the lawsuit. Regardless, Steve was a true asset to IB, and would be to any company. I didn't interact too much with him, but the tickets he handled for us were done in a swift and professional way, and I hold him in very high regard based on what I've seen on the vB forums of him.

I also never had a lot of interaction with Steve. Still, over several years of watching and participating in vB.com forum, Steve seemed to be particularly helpful and always maintained a professional attitude. I think he is a class act.

Fron vBulletin, other than Kier and Mike, I only remember Steve Machol. His support service was amazing, I always liked to contact with him.

Thank you once again Steve Machol :)

Could be. My memory says that he had left before we even knew about him being named in the lawsuit. But I've been wrong before.

Brilliant detective work. I'm sure Steve ... aka Brogan has also taken the time to develop this entire other persona to make Clip the Apex (posing as Brogan obviously), mod here, posts pics of his child (randomly found of course), post all other relevant information to throw everyone off the trail.

I applaud your effort.

From the responses in this thread it sounds like he'd be a real asset to Xenforo. I've never used vBulletin so I don't know him, but he sounds like a top guy.

Looks like you are the only person that had problems with this dude after everyone says he's so nice and professional. What does that say about you?
