XF 2.0 Where do I place the DFP Code? Please help.

Can someone please explain exactly where the setup code goes? I tried opening the PAGE_CONTAINER template and placing the setup code just before the closing header. Then I placed the ad unit code in a widget. But it's still not working. Please explain if I am missing a step or where I should be placing the codes. Any help is appreciated. This is for DFP.
