MG 2.2 when trying to view media some members report getting "You do not have permission to view this page or perform this action."

I set permissions for the registered usergroup to be able to view media that I post, using these permissions:


however when they view the embedded MP3's this is what they see:

and when they click on it they get this error:


as admin, when I look at the post, this is what I see:


and the file plays perfectly.


are there other permissions that I am missing?

Run the permissions analyser on the category for an affected user: admin.php?permissions/analyze

I did that and it seems that they should be able to see the items that I embed in posts based on this:

Are you sure the privacy is set to Everyone?

I have it set to a category and the files are uploaded to the category, not an album. Do they need to be in an album?

I moved them all to an album and it works now, thanks much. strange you cant just share them from a category.

It doesn't need to be in an album.

This for example is just in a category but is visible to all: https://2ca683a7a60f4922.demo-xenforo.com/227/media/mantis.1/

There must be a permission issue somewhere.
