Browser issue When editing post, link in post stays linked even after selecting all and deleting

1. Create a post, and have the entire post be "www.msn.com", and post it
2. Edit the post, click in the text area (to get the focus), hit Ctrl-A and start typing "abcd" and save the post
3. Notice the "a" in "abcd" is still linked to www.msn.com

This occurs on my 1.2 installation, and also in the test area of xenforo.com, using Chrome 31.0.1650.63 on Windows 7

I can reproduce in Chrome on my OS X.

Works fine in Firefox.

This is a weird issue - it looks like Chrome is firing some events in the wrong order internally, otherwise I don't think it would end the link after one character. I do see this in CKEditor as well (though not TinyMCE).

I don't see an obvious way to workaround it right now unfortunately.
