It's working fine for me in 2.3.0 (with the Bolt theme from PixelExit) without modification. It even has my custom modifications intact. 😁

@Paul B This works in 2.3.4 when in Light mode but if you move to Dark mode then the message backgrounds and fonts don't follow the Dark settings which makes the text hard to read.... please see below:

Is this easy to fix?
Thanks

I have a near-default theme (third party, though) and it's displaying with no issues, although I'd like the backgrounds of the messages to be a little lighter in the dark version.

This should just be a tweak to the CSS, I'm thinking?

I'm about to start on doing some customization so if I see anything that might help, I'll pass it along here.

Replace these lines at the beginning.
Less:
@__ctaMessageSelfColour: @xf-contentBg; // colour of your messages
@__ctaMessageOtherColour: @xf-contentHighlightBg; // colour of the messages of other participants

What's the code for the Light and Dark themes ?

Default = Light
Alternate = Dark

@Paul B or anyone else that has a suggestion.

I really like this addition and have it looking good.

I have a question though,...

I have added the extra css to enable the username to show below the avatar, but I saw in the mobile responsive screen, for some reason the timestamp in the bubble has an extra line break (?) under the avatar before the timestamp, but for response bubbles it appears proper without a line break.

Any clues where this may be tweaked?
