If you need to support Non-latin charsets, you need to enable the respective charsets when you generate the link on Google Webfonts.

Oh lord... don't let me get involved in another one of these!
Suffice to say it does work, I've used it, others have and still do. Instructions for using their fonts remotely are fairly simple.
