What is next for XenForo?

I don't know exactly what an API does but it sounds so cool. :D
Application Programming interface. It allows non-XenForo programs and scripts to send formatted requests to XenForo (XenForo can be any application) and interact with its database in a safe way. This is how Twitter clients function. I believe TapaTalk may add one so it functions properly.

I don't know if there's a suggestion for it, or if other people would like it, but I wouldn't mind a post comment feature like the one in vB - just fully controlled by permissions ;)

Also, the post/topic move/merge system could do with some improvements (move single posts in a thread to another thread etc.).

Shelley you really like #hashtag :D

I actually loathe hash tagging. :D But I know @Chris Deeming loathes them more so I'm determined and making it my mission to use them more in my #postings #chrisisawesome #buthewontlikeviewingthesehashtags #runsfrompost

Back on-topic. What I wouldn't like to see in the core or in a future update is hashtagging in posts #notcorematerial #bestleftasanaddon

If done correctly it could be brilliant. The Twitter / Facebook method is the worst. Would never turn it on if it was like that in XenForo.

Yeah, I have to admit I'm not a real fan of the hashtagging on twitter but I suppose (as you say) it needs a new way or different way of being done/developed right. Personally, I find it hard to see how but developers are way more knowledgeable in that regard and I'm sure it could be better than the way social sites method of implementation.

Personally, I'm not a fan of the add-ons either but willing to be converted if a creative way of doing hashtagging ever springs up.

I stopped using Twitter after using it for about five months. It was rather annoying. When you weren't reading first-world problems you were getting ads for Cialis among other naughty things. Oh and there was that one guy who would always throw a fit and then claim it wasn't him who did it. He was a member here.

Let's count together. There are total 23 future fixes.
6 of them from 2011
2 of them from 2012
2 of them from 2013 (before 1.2 was announced/installed here)
Total of 10 that could have been fixed.
I hope 1.3 would clear some of them out (especially the older once).
Er, okay. But that's still only two more still older than a year. Does anyone know of any software offered anywhere that doesn't have a ongoing bug list? What matters is the size of the list and how critical to the functionality of the forum the bugs actually are and the relative degree to which their fixed. There's a reason they call them bugs. You can't keep them out of the house completely. XF does a stellar job of keeping this list small.

• "Better" mobile style. Similar to Tapatalk functionality with Adsense capability. (Mobile IS the future- like it or not!)

• Member list manager - abilities to search members got any criteria, posts, likes, trophies points etc.

• Member album/ gallery with option to share images in posts and threads via an editor button.

• "Better" member profile page.

Tapatalk is an app', not a style.

The current mobile implementation is far better than a third party app' and AdSense has been supported since day one.
