XF 2.0 What is "bypass spam check"

I'm going through user group permission and see this on 2.x. I see spam management under options. So this would only apply if I had set up spam phrases or Akismet filtering?

That permission has been there since XF 1.5. It prevents any spam handlers from running for any users with that permission. Pretty much only applies to spam content handlers. So, by default, spam phrases and Akismet.

It's useful to give it to trusted groups, for example if someone registers and buys one of your user upgrades, they're unlikely to be a spammer so you'd let them bypass the spam check. We apply the permission to our licensed customers group here.
