The tooltip URL isn’t anything you need to fill in with a special link. It’s basically there so that if someone hovers over a thread, post, or link, XenForo can show a short preview or text pop‑up (that’s the tooltip).

In most cases, XenForo handles this automatically you don’t normally need to set a tooltip URL yourself. It’s just the internal spot where the system stores the link that triggers the tooltip content.

So basically, it’s not a separate kind of URL, just the normal destination link that shows extra info when you hover over it.
