We need a facepalm reaction...

Not so much a suggestion as it is me thinking out loud, but it'd sure be nice if this site had a facepalm reaction...

Posts by one specific member regularly have me facepalming and it'd be nice to be able to translate that frustration here without using the "angry" reaction because I'm genuinely more confused, amused and embarrassed for them than I am angry.

Only problem is that certain individuals that get a reaction they don't like go through the site and finds your posts and reacts to them with certain reactions... or simply goes into an area that replies can be up/down voted and down votes your posts, even if it is a "correct" answer.
Somewhat stalkerish behavior.
The official response would probably be "it's not professional and we want to keep the site professional" or similar.

^ That

I would anticipate there being many threads derailed, posts reported, and a lot more work dealing with the fallout, thread bans, warnings, etc. due to said reaction being used.

It's bad enough dealing with the aftermath of the angry one being used, which fortunately is sparingly.

That was the one current one I was going to point out that has been recently overly abused. Personally... I think it should be removed as well, as it's not much different than the face palm would be.

I think @Brogan said that it's not happening!
So if i were you i'd stop making him lose his 💩

First of all, I seriously doubt Brogan is losing anything over this thread. Second of all, I haven't seen him comment on this until after your comment. Finally, if someone is going to offer me any advice, I'd like for you to not be the one to do it.

Before this starts getting taken too seriously, I'd like to point out that this wasn't a serious suggestion, which is why I posted it here rather than in the suggestions forum and why I started the post with "Not so much a suggestion as it is me thinking out loud".

I would agree with @Tracy Perry, though, in that it wouldn't be much different than the angry reaction which is used inappropriately, admittedly even by me at times.

Or maybe restrict those who keep using those reactions all the time to cause others to report them

Oh the irony...

I wish the reactions received option I have on my forum (I think from Xon's Content Ratings) was a core feature, because unless memory serves me wrong almost every single angry reaction I have gotten since XF added reactions has come from a single user, at most two users.

I can't 100% be sure, because I ignore so many people again that who knows what reactions they give me .
