Watermarks not working

using the latest XFMG,

I have php-imagick installed properly as far as I can tell, phpinfo returns:



I have a valid .png file as a watermark, and the watermark option is set to 'on'.

... but the watermark is not being applied to new pictures, nor can I get it to be applied to old ones even after rebuilding the watermarks.

Nothing is showing in XF's error log. Any help would be appreciated...

ok, just to update -- i can manually add watermarks by pressing the icon, but they aren't being automatically added when i upload a new image. That doesn't seem right.

That would be down to permissions. You likely have permission to bypass watermark creation on upload.
