XF 1.4 Warnings Read Only

Hello,

I wan't to block user to post messages (read only) when user reach to specific warn points. How can I do this?

You can do this with a user group promotion. Set the criteria in the promotion to the number of warning points you require and add them to a secondary user group which has Post New Thread and Post Replies set to Never. You may also want to prevent post editing too and possibly some other permissions.

Alternatively you could let the user continue to post but moderate all of their posts first. For this you would set in Follow message moderation rules to Never in the new group.

I wouldn't do it with a promotion as warning actions are designed to handle this, but the user group approach is the correct one.

Thanks for the reminder about warning actions, Mike. Having got a forum of well-behaved members, I had forgotten that you could use these to add to a user group.
