XF 2.1 Warning Removed; Points Stayed

Issue:
We had a user where a Warning was expired, but the points were not removed. So we deleted the Warning, but the points were still not removed.

Question:

1. Is it expected behavior for a Warning to be deleted but the points remain?
2. How do we manually remove those points or adjust the number of points that a user has?
3. Is there a way to "rebuild' the points that users have based on their infractions? My Moderators tell me this has happened a handful of other times.
