want to convert my forum from mybb to Xenforo

Hello guys,

After looking through other forum softwares, I want to convert my free mybb forum to Xenforo

RoldanLT said me that he will be helping me:-

But I would like to know 3-4 more things:-

1. In mybb forum , I had points system where users was getting:-
1 Point for 1 new thread in selected forums
0.05 point for 1 new post in selected forums
50 points for registration

And then 5 points if thread gets moved to particular forum (Best Thread Forum)

Also I restricted users to get maximum of 20 points including all per day. Is there any way to do this in xenforo???

2. How to show user trophies like "Number of posts" Number of threads" and some custom fields below username in xenforo

In case xenforo supports this then I will be glad to buy xenforo license..

Please guys let me know how to achieve above things in xenforo

I couldn't find any add-on that can serve the purpose... If you or anyone else knows then please let me know

For 2 also I couldn't find option in ACP..I'm currently using demo of xenforo and I couldn't find..please tell me how to add 3-4 things below username??

And all those add-ons safe and secure.. Well just because of excessive usage of mybb plugins my forum has been hacked and that's the only reason I want to go for paid forum... But then I don't want same thing to happen in my paid forum... I'm more concerned about security then anything else... So are those add-ons secured enough?? are those add-ons reviewed by xenforo developers??

Can you tell me any point awarding add-on?

I don't use any, and you will have to evaluate security of the add-ons yourself. XenForo does not review anything posted.

This is not about promotion only... I give my users points for posts/threads and thread moved by me in one good forum... and users can buy some gifts for them using those points... so these point system I cannot change as this point system is money for my users... users get paid when they post on my forum :)

So I want some secured add-on to achieve the same

The Core software is beyond secure, and I think there have been 1 (maybe 2) releases to fix security holes within 24 hours of notifying them. You'll have to evaluate add-ons yourself.

In terms of points add-ons, I've found two:

http://xenforo.com/community/resources/xfpoints-free.882/

I believe there are more, but since I don't use them, I haven't researched them.

If you want to be ultimate security, you could hire a developer to code it yourself, but custom add-ons can be expensive.

First one have much more features... Thanks for searching this for me :)

Let me read all the features and I will get back to you

But what about the security of this add-on??? I badly need this add-on but also I want to ensure that this add-on is safest of all..

How to ensure this??

The only way is to realistically do a code-audit or try your best to hack it yourself. XenForo provides plenty of ways for Add-on developers to make things secure. I don't have numbers for security issues per add-on, etc.

How should I gave you reputation :S .. I liked your work and attitude of helping... Is there any way to give you reputation :S

The "reputation" equivalent in XenForo is the "Like" link that you see next to "Reply" in each post. There is no actual concept of reputation or karma in XenForo (good or bad), just likes.

That's really bad :( :( ... Like is nothing :(.. I would like to see reputation or karma system here... will surely suggest to xenforo developers to introduce reputation system...

And one more thing bro:- I want rating system of thread... not like mybb where we give stars.. I want thumbs up and thumbs down rating system that can be shown on view all threads page.. like here in slickdeals forum:-

A reputation system has been suggested and is being tracked here:
http://xenforo.com/community/threads/reputation-points-karma-system.10017/

As for a thread up / down rating, I do not know of such a system at this time, but there may be a resource hidden away somewhere.
