I'm not even sure how to ask this question. Basically, I've got the View Member Profiles option set to No for Unregistered/Unconfirmed guests in the User Group Permissions area. This means that any guest who hasn't registered for an account can't see a member's profile page unless this guest registers for an account and logs in.
What I'm interested in doing is allowing some registered members to have their profile pages viewable to unregistered guests. I'd like to keep all profile pages blocked to guests, except for a few. I thought I'd be able to set up a new user group that would allow for this, but I was mistaken. Is there any sort of workaround that anyone can think of that would help me out?
The truth of the matter is that 99% of member profile pages need to be blocked from search engine crawling because they're empty pages. I've blocked these pages through the permission system. Some members, however, have awesome and active pages that I'd like to allow crawlers to access.
