Jesus Christ how can anyone still read that format. I mean I commend PB for doing what they have done for giving people a free platform but that format is just so outdated.

Yeah, I know a few long time ProBoards forum owners who may genuinely close their forums over that.

And yet at one time there were over 3 million forums running on ProBoards making it one of the largest websites on the Internet. Times have undoubtedly changed, it's no longer what it was but it's bit harsh to call it a scam although I've no doubt the acquisition by VerticalScope has done it no favours.

I know, I used to have one of those. All i can do is laugh at those that still use them today and who are stubborn enough to put up with their antics.
It's a scam of an organisation because they moderate your PB forum even if you do nothing they're the ones who are telling you that you need to do it their way or the highway. So yeah it's a scam that is not worth getting involved with.

It’s a pity they can’t take their data with them and start over elsewhere.
And the AI license doesn't disappear when someone leaves. Section 25 says Sections 14–27 survive termination, which includes Section 15's User Content license.

Exactly.
Also say you wanted to have your forum up on there and you had people on there that swear often.
Proboards staff monitor and moderate your forum and ban those that you let swear because Proboards don't like swearwords on your board.
