Not a bug Ver 1.1 Links in Notices not followed

I used a link to a thread in a notice, but it was not properly followed:

Example of the notice:

Dodgeboard has experienced a version upgrade. If you would like to know more about the new features, <a href "http://www.dodgeboard.com/forums/index.php?threads/new-board-software.12709/"> click here</a>. You can dismiss this notification and never have to look at it again by clicking the "X" in the upper right hand corner of this window.

But when you click on the link, it takes you here:

http://www.dodgeboard.com/forums/

even when I hover over it, it just shows:

http://www.dodgeboard.com/forums/ instead of

http://www.dodgeboard.com/forums/index.php?threads/new-board-software.12709/

Does this have something to do with the root htaccess file causing this?

Yep - I pulled a boner! I must have looked at it ten times. Stressed waiting/watching and refreshing for the release, I guess. I should never try and do this under duress. Thanks!

You pulled a what now? I don't think now is a time for such activities.
