XF 1.2 vBulletin 5 .htaccess redirection rules

Can you provide an example old and new URL for the same thread in both vB and XF? Then I can be certain about your redirects and provide exact instructions. There are considerations such as id mapping (if the ids aren't the same) as well as change of directory.

Hi Jake!

I've check the "preserved IDs" box but it seems the ids aren't the same:
old url: http://www.domain.com/forums/forum/...ests/11093-find-the-specie-in-this-photo-game
new one: http://domain.com/forums/threads/find-the-ceph-in-this-photo-game.9527/

I have to mention that vBulletin 5 adds the "forum" word after the folder where it is installed. In both cases the forums are in the "forums" folder.

Was it a double import? Because I am not aware of a direct vB5 -> XF importer.

If you used an intermediate format, such as vB5 to IPB to XF, then ids may have been preserved on the last leg but not on the first. Redirects are still possible, but it will be necessary to update the id mappings in the XF database first. Here is an example of the process I use to do this:

The exact process can vary depending on the intermediate format. If you give me access to all 3 databases then I can take care of it.
