vbulletin 5.7.5 to XENFORO migration

Hello,
We have a very big forum www.tenisdemasa.ro that was at first hosted by PHPBB platform, then we migrated to VB4.0 and then again to VB5.0, now we are at vb5.7.5.

I will not talk about the disappointment of the transition from vb4 to vb5, or how we lost all the romanian diacritics after migration (I mean the leters ă, â, î, ș, ț).
Anyway we plan to migrate to XENFORO, self hosted and for our forum to work properly I will need the following features:

1. Keep the created user groups and rights from VB after migration
2. migrate existing topic prefixes and require users to use prefixes if they exist
3. Random image add banner system
4. Mod/plugin to add images to the forum through external photo hosting sites (example imgbb)
5. Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread and who has read a thread
6. Add-on that allows users to edit their first post in a thread for either an unlimited period of time or a different amount of time than a normal post
7. Anti double post - merges consecutive posts created by the same user within a specified time frame
8. Auto close old topic (after a specific time)

You think i will find every of those in Xenforo?

I’d suggest talking to @MySiteGuy he is expert in this.

or how we lost all the romanian diacritics after migration (I mean the leters ă, â, î, ș, ț).
We can handle all the points you mentioned and ensure a smooth migration to XenForo. Additionally, we might be able to recover the romanian diacritics that were lost (we just need to check your database).

If you're interested, we can discuss the details by private message.

Another questions:
1. There is a convertor from vBulletin 5.7.5 to XENFORO? I understand there is a convertor only until vBulletin 5.3 version.

2. After migration the topics URL will be the same? Currently the topic URL is like:
Code:
https://www.tenisdemasa.ro/forum/node/{ID}
Example: https://www.tenisdemasa.ro/forum/node/1281056

It is important to have the same topics URL after migration. Our forum is about table tennis stuff and competitions for amateurs. The tournaments topics are also stored as URL on another related site that contain the ranking and tournaments details. Since there are over 4000 tournaments topics it will be impossible to replace all URL if they are changed after migration.
It is possible to keep the current forum links as they are right now?

Good morning everyone,

I have a fairly large forum on vBulletin 5.7.5 that I have been managing for about 20 years (www.energeticambiente.it) and I would like to migrate from vBulletin to XenForo.

I have already read that several people have been helped in particular by @MySiteGuy , but currently (I don't know due to what rights restrictions), I am unable to contact him directly via direct message.

Can anyone help me or advise me if this is still a viable option? Are there any particular issues that need to be resolved after the migration?

Thank you very much!

Roy from Pisa
