VB4 User import does not bring over user profile info

Name and Avatar are all it seems to import. It leaves out all other user profile info such as birthday, location, signature.

We definitely appear to import the birthday. Though the format of their birthday would need to be in the mm-dd-yyyy format and have all three parts available.

If you are not seeing it on a given user's profile, that may be because of their privacy settings/your permissions. Verifying it in the user edit page of the Admin CP would be advisable, and verifying the exact format in the vBulletin database would be required.

There is also code to import both the location and signature. As far as I can tell, the location appears to be coming from a custom user field rather than a built in vBulletin field.

The signature should be imported from the user's signature field in the database. I have a test import here which appears to have imported that correctly, at least.

Thank you Chris. It does look like the import is pulling most if not all of the personal profile info from VB. I posted this issue based upon what info was being shown in the Forum, not at what was stored with the User. It does look the user privacy setting are working. The thing that caused me to raise this issue is that this the profile info for me or another person working with me on this conversion was not imported. But I don't think it's worth digging into this any more. I'll just let people know to check their profile info when they first log in to XF.

But I do have another question. Users who have thousands of posts on VB are being shown as New Members on XF. How is this member classification determined?

That would be the “user title ladder”.
I'm sorry but I'm new here. What does this mean?

I'm asking for more detail because this is something important to our user community. Our forum has been running for 20 years and we have recognized experts who would not take kindly to being classified as "New Members". 10 years ago I wrote the importer to VB from our home-grown forum so I know how fussy the members are about preserving rankings, reputations, etc. when moving to a new platform.

Search for 'user title ladder' in the Admin CP search (located at the top right corner). It is a configurable option to assign user titles based on trophy points, amount of likes the user has received, or on how many posts the user has posted.
