At first i thought there was a problem with the importer but that wasn't the case.

My understanding is that any Super Admin (the 1 is set in config.php) has access to all and everything, always.
Is this a one time migration thing that i have to give Super Admin rights to some of the migrated private Forums or will i always have to set rights for Super Admin when creating new Forums with XF?
    What am i doing wrong?

    To clarify.
The Super Admin account from vb4 is the account that got merged during the XF install. It can read and do anything in vb4 but for some reason i do not understand, it needs to reset his permissions in XF to read e.g. private Forums and i wonder what else he might nt be able to do.
    I read,
    https://xenforo.com/community/resources/implementing-permissions-across-multiple-user-groups.358/
    https://xenforo.com/community/resources/understanding-permissions.360/

but i cannot wrap my head around this, why is SA account restricted?

No, this is not true. They only have access to all sections of the control panel. The public facing system respects permissions.

You've show a general permission analysis, but you'll need to do permission analysis for a more specific forum that they can't see to get more details.

Permissions are something you are likely to have to update/redo after importing as they will not always match 1:1.

I guess if i am just the Admin and my client does not want me to read those private Forums, even though i could but yeah this would make sense.
Yes i checked those Forums/Nodes via Analyze Permissions and except View node YES everything else was set to No but i still thought that SA has super powers.

    Thanks Mike for clarifying!
