You don't have to transfer it to another host. You can just use the Namecheap DNS where you bought the domain. (We have two domains with Namecheap and rely on their DNS, no issues in over 15 years...) I think it's also a bad idea to have your domain registrar and host in the same basket...

This goes back to my post here. You'll have to make sure that at least SPF and DMARC are set. DKIM won't work unless the patch from this post is applied if you're using XF 2.3.7.
if you need a simpler solution, checkout zeptomail. i moved from ses to it because it was just simpler to use and did not require tiny monthly payments. my daily mail traffic is under 100. so it has worked very well for me.
