Is there a way in xenforo to set a usergroup so they can only reply to their own threads (existing threads they started) but not to threads started by others?

We fixed this by using a node.link that actually creates a "personal conversation" between the user and a few select staff members.
This way it's private, per usergroup permission based (xenforo's default conversation permissions, etc) and we can always invite others to the personal conversation.

This resolved having private questions, staff questions, ticket system, handling report issues, etc.
