I just noticed that you have a Report link for your own posts, profile, resources and so.
    Is this is intentional?

Probably, there is some utility to members being able to contact staff about a post they wrote.

Sometimes members do not have the permission to edit their own content and would want some modification. Its easier to report.

Well I guess every admin uses the tools as he sees fit.
One disadvantage is that members may try to get the moderators attention for answering in their thread.

A permission to decide if user can report his own content could be helpful here.

In which case, the moderator can warn or ban them.

You can easily remove the report button via a template conditional.
