I think this is an useful feature, when combined with the Resources.
I would like to allow only certain groups to use thread prefixes. Right now anyone can, at global level.
For example, I create a resource category that posts into a specific forum with a specific prefix, not allowed to be used by all users. Right now, if I set a group of prefixes into forum is usable by everyone which defies the purpose of having a specific resource prefix.
A better solution would be to have resource prefixes automatically assigned into thread title.
Edit: Never mind, this option already exists.
