XF 2.1 URL unfurl

Test in ACP shows unfurl fine
unfurl was set on right from the beginning.
But, on the front-end following does not unfurl

It unfurls fine:

The likely issue here is that some browsers will paste the URL into the editor as HTML. If it does that, we assume that's the intention and we do not attempt to unfurl it automatically.

To be clearer, sometimes rather than the URL pasting in as plain text as the above one did (which we then automatically processed) it sometimes pastes like this, as a link already:

We are looking to workaround that browser behaviour though in a future release and you can track that here:

When I paste a link in a thread, it automatically generates a link (before saving). I must have inadvertently turned something on, but I can't find out where and it is driving me crazy. Does anybody know what is controlling this behavior?
