XF 1.3 URL Friendly Option not working? Get 404 Modal boxes appearing.

So I set my boards to have Friendly URLs.

However, whenever I hover over the "Conversations/Alerts" I get a modal/lightbox window that shows my 404 page.

I think it's because they're trying to load these pages:

domain.com/forums/conversations/
domain.com/forums/account/alerts/

Those lead to 404 errors, but these URLs take me to the right places and actually work:

domain.com/forums/?conversations/
domain.com/forums/account/?alerts/

Any ideas on why my board is only loading the pages with ? and how I get rid of the ?. Thanks!

using htaccess? If so, can you post it or did you just rename the existing example to .htaccess?

My htaccess was still named htaccess.txt instead of .htacess Thanks for helping me solve this issue, works great now!
