Hi i have seen a guide how to uppgrade for example a older forum version to a newer can somebody please link me this guide?

It will, but like any upgrade I would backup your site and database before you do it. So you have a fallback.

Yes, the upgrade shouldn''t remove any content from the db. But as mentioned above, make a full backup of your db before the upgrade.
