XF 2.1 Upgrading from 1.4.8 to 2.1

Is there anything special I need to know about upgrading from 1.4.8 to 2.1, or can I upgrade it like normal? Straight from 1.4.8 to 2.1?

I recently took over the responsibility of upgrading a rather large forum/community from 1.4.8 to 2.1. The upgrade isn't scheduled for another three weeks, so I've been getting all the 2.x versions of the addons, working on a new 2.x skin, etc, so that is all covered. The only thing I don't know is if something speical needs to be done when upgrading the software from such an outdated version.

Upgrading from XF1 to XF2 is a major upgrade.

No third party add-ons, styles, languages, or other customisations will work.

If you do not plan to upgrade the add-ons with XF2 compatible versions then we would recommend that they are uninstalled before upgrading.

The upgrade script will automatically step through all interim versions from 1.4.8 to 2.1.
