Duplicate Upgrading a disabled add-on enables the add-on

If an add-on is disabled in the ACP and if that add-on is upgraded then after the upgrade is finished the add-on is left enabled.

The upgrade process should respect the disabled/enabled state.

Hi there, when I use php cmd.php xf:addon-upgrade XXX/YYY -n to a disabled addon it will enabled automatically after upgrade. I think this it not useful. I disable addons (not uninstall) to keep all data but I would like to upgrade it for security reasons. Bug or feature?

I also agree that this is so annoying and should be treated as a bug. I understand that an addon needs to be in enabled mode to finish tasks or to start tasks after an upgrade. But at least give us an indication of that the addon was previously disabled before the upgrade has run. A visual cue is enough.

I agree with this. I use a few add-ons that can be very helpful for troubleshooting user questions and the like but do not need to be enabled all the time. Among other things, some of these clutter up the icons bar below a post and create a messy look to the forum.

If an add-on is disabled before an upgrade, it should revert to disabled after the upgrade.

I agree as I have some addons I do not enable all the time but I want them to be up to date!
