XF 2.0 Upgrade from 2.0 to 2.1 issue

I recently attempted to upgrade using cyberduck and somehow the uploads created new files and folder with added named extension with number 1 at the end. Obvious a failed try on that attempt. Not sure what happened with cyberduck after a few upgrades of theirs. My question is using cyberduck should I overwrite or use what they call synchronize? Only issue I am seeing with synchronize is I only see folders not files to choose from. Any ideas whats going on? ( related to merging)

You have cPanel so I would suggest using the File Manager application to upload the zip archive and extract the files directly on the server.

It's way quicker than FTP and not prone to the usual problems.

Should I load into directory and unzip? This will overwrite and merge without me touching any setting correct?

The files aren't in the correct location if there is no upgrade pending.

This is probably the root of the problem - once unzipped, you need to move or copy the contents of the upload folder to the correct location.

I placed zip in xens directory and unzipped. I am assuming I should see the one folder but don't....

Hmmm doesn't seem to be extracting the folder inside the zip CHMOD on zip is 0644 should it be 777?

OK figured it out! Haven't did it in awhile and was rusty! Extracted into UPLOAD folder.... TY so much for your time and help!
