XF 2.2 Updating internal links to include SEO info

We migrated from vbulletin to XF2.2 a year or so back.

However we have some internal links that link to: https://xyz.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4946

Such links are now dead as the new URL includes SEO elements e.g. https://xyz.com/index.php?threads/its-this-thread.4946/

Is there a mechanism to update the "old" links to the "new" URL?

Not sure why this didn't happen in the migration either.

I installed that (just now). It didn't work.

It says it works from the import_log, but the import_log doesn't appear to have URLs in it...

You will need to post in the resource thread for general support with it.

The import log will be required to ensure URLs are mapped and redirected.

To be frank I'm a bit lost here.

Are you saying that I need to ask for support elsewhere because it's an add-on? What's a resource thread?

Do I actually NEED this add-on? Shouldn't the URLs have been rewritten as part of the import?

No it requires redirection.
How would importing update indexed VB URLs in Google and on other sites?

Post in the thread related to the resource/add-on for help with it.

If you don't have an import log though you can't use that method.

If you retained IDs then you can use basic rewrites in .htaccess.
