XF 2.3 Unexplained Insufficient Privileges to Post

I have a node with four forums. Registered users should be able to post threads in three of the four, and only Mods/Admins can post in the fourth. For some reason, I cannot figure out why Registered users cannot post in one of the three. I have gone over all permissions settings, for both user groups and nodes, and have even used the "analyze" tool to see where the problem is, with no success. Do you have any suggestions for figuring this out?

I figured it out...

It ended up being under "Edit Forum -> Advanced Options -> Allow new messages to be posted in this forum"

The box was unchecked and it had nothing to do with permissions, which was a little confusing.

Yeah xf should really clean up their nuanced node permissions. This option is achievable through regular perms so I don't know why it's there.

So you only have to click one box in one location instead of how many usergroups you have. Pretty simple to understand why its there.

Except that you’d only need to set the primary registered usergroup and it will affect all the secondary groups.
