XF 2.3 Unable to update add-ons after XF upgrade to 2.3.4

Since I upgraded my site to XF2.3.4 earlier this week I have been running into an issue in which I am not able to update any add-ons. When I try, I get this message:


I do not know how to access the source code to change the permissions for these directories/files. Can someone instruct me as to how to do that?
