XF 2.3 Unable to search members - "No results found"

Hey,
I'm currently trying to figure out what's causing the search function to not work properly.
Users are not able to search any members nor am the admins or moderators able to. The search function is also very strict and requires you to type their names perfectly without any misspelling - how can I fix this issue?

First thing to try is maybe rebuild the search index. (Admin panel > Tools > rebuild caches). I'm not sure what you can do about strictness of name spelling part from as you are, relying on the autocomplete but that doesn't work for members not recently logged in

I've done that multiple times and also checked if it was a permission issue, but doesn't seem like it
