XF 2.0 Unable to change node permissions

In Node Permissions when I click on a node, choose a user group, change one of the options e.g. from 'inherit' to 'yes' then click save, it seems to save as the orange loading symbol is shown but then nothing happens.

If I then go back and then check the change made, the change is not saved. See screen capture below (apologies for the sound)...

I tried to change and save the settings multiple times and then I was unable to access the community from this internet connection for around 24 hours.

Sounds like a fire-wall/mod-security issue (the locked out for 24 hours issue is a big clue). Check with your hosting provider to see if anything in the logs (server level) is showing what is triggering it then put in an exception.

Contacted my hosting provider and they were able to fix the issue. Thanks for your help!
