UK to ban Forums ?

No, he wants to make people have to choose to allow access to things instead of choosing to block them. The list of items he wants it to affect (other than porn) isn't confirmed yet.

I think our PM is an idiot.
Agree. My vote helped bring him in though, as I voted Lib Dem. Almost enough to scare you into not voting again!

At least half the people in every country think their leader is an idiot.

99% of people in our country think our PM is an idiot.

Does the queen/prince have any role in the government?
If not, don't UK people think it's a waste of money to keep this kind of "system" in place?

Nope the queen or the royal family play no part in government decisions. It's like any system, governments aim to further their agenda so it wouldn't matter what system is in place, people are corrupt and only ever try to further their financial agendas.

Where is the "King" in the story? Why we hear just about the queen/prince all day along?
Sorry for my questions, but I'm just curious how that works.
By the way, considering the amount of "fun" Americans do from UK people, I don't think they make so much revenue for UK as tourists (maybe by other means,; media can be one example).

There is no current King. When a Queen is the head of state, her husband is called a Prince, but when the King is head of state, he can have a Queen. Reason being is that due to the hierachy of royalty, King is above the Queen.

You'd be incredibly foolish to think for a second that 'forums' would get banned in the UK, or any civilized country. It's media hype, the same applies to the BBC rabbiting on about how Twitter and Ask.FM need to be closed down.

Whilst what has happened is terrible, its just mind numbingly shortsighted to think for a second that you just pull the plug on something like that.

I'm all for tougher regulation of social networking sites, but forums really dont fall into the same category, and never will do. People use social networks and forums in very different ways.

Parents also need to take most, if not all responsability here - most ISP's offer content filtering - turn the damn thing on if you have kids. Refuse to allow your kids to have a private area on the computer, etc. Blocking or closing things for those of us who use common sense is crazy, and will never happen.

Probably right. In the UK I'd estimate it at more like 75%. You only have to look at Cameron talking on BBC News to see how much of a twit he is. Ask him a simple question and he wont answer it. You can ask it over and over, and he'll still skirt around it, all the time trying to make it sound like he's a god.

One such example this morning was him being asked why the Accident and Emergency departments at the NHS give such poor service, with long waiting times, and such. His response was that a majority of people in the UK love the high quality of service offered by the department, and how he regularly hears praise about how well its now operating under his government. Complete crap.
