XF 2.0 Twitter og image not resizing

I've tried several different sizes and image types for the forum logo but none of them are resizing to fit the available space in Twitter posts.

I thought Twitter automatically resized these images.

How do the smaller sizes translate to Facebook and other platforms?

The dimension of a Twitter in-stream photo must be (minimum) 440 x 220 px with a maximum of 1024 x 512. Maximum file size: 5 MB for photos and 3 MB for animated GIFs.
