Travel Forum for India

Hello,

I would like some stone thrown at me please.

I launched this forum about 6 months ago but it has still not taken of so wondering if someone can point out things that I may have missed.

I spent a bit of money on Facebook and adwords but people do not register. It is not like tourism is dead in India, there are plenty of other forums that are flourishing in the same niche so there must be something that I am not doing right.

Forum is at www.indiatravelforum.in

I also have a facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/IndiaTravelCommunity

I am hoping for some good pointers and also your opinion on the logo if I should have one or not.

Thanks

Hi. It looks good for me, the design is sober, but does not look appealing to a forum about tourism.

You could make the forum design more thematic (logo, background, etc), show more images from India too, for example you could move gallery above and show more images, something like this:

It is only an idea, good luck with your proyect bro(y)

Thanks for the pointers. Much appreciated.

I have moved the media box to the top now and it does look a lot more appealing. I am working on the logo now so that should be up in a day or two and hopefully would create a better impression.

From 10k unique visitors daily back in 2017-2018 to 400 visitors per day due to total neglect of the forum as I had other things going during this time so could not give this forum any time.

I would like you experts to please have a look at my forum and tell me what I can do to regain the lost glory and perhaps make it bigger than it ever was.

Any/all suggestions are welcome.

You will likely never see it back. The forum world has changed so much during those 7 years. It's not impossible, but you'll need to do a lot of hard work, be consistent and hope for the best.

What was your strong point back in 2017?

Strong point in 2017-2018 was just that I was posting new content every day, even then there was no active community, its all my own content using different user names, 90% of the content is mine.

I was good at researching good long tail keywords which brought in decent traffic back then.

I have started doing the same now. New threads that I am creating are ranking well but updating old threads is not reviving their old ranks on Google.

I have lost touch with the forum scene, thats why I am here to see what others are doing and if they get any traffic by doing what they do now.
