Top Article in Preview Display mode

Beyond the first page, the top article continues to occupy the full width and appears a little jarring (to me) to have an "old" article randomly emphasised this way. Would you consider changing it so that only the first article on the first page occupies full width?

My suggestion would be from page two and onwards, the articles should continue to appear as quarter width.

I agree, but I would prefer medium and small page 2 and beyond. It is visually appealing and will aid in discovery.

If this isn't doable. Maybe an option to have all pages, even the first, show articles as quarter width.
