[#] Thumbnails [Deleted]

Hi, great addon :)
Is it possible for the thumbnails for externally hosted images to be created at the size specified in the admin, but to be cropped centrally such that they retain the ratio of the original?

If I have this selected it effects all forums - even once not selected for the thumbnail feature. This is an important setting for us. Is this a bug or am I overlooking something?

any chance you will have this addon pull the thumbnail from an embedded youtube video?

the youtube videos all have their own thumbnail, so if we can pull it from there, that would be pretty awesome.
 
How can i install this addon? i get a message saying:

Hey, great work - it's really a must have add on!
Can someone please tell me how I can style the bright blue border around the thumb? Couln't find it in the style properties... :unsure:
 
How does this work? I have images or thumbnails in the post but can't see how to select which one to use for the index

@Waindigo - could you explain how the select thumbnail function works please? I get a message 'There are no images in the message' as per screenshot above. There are images in the post.

i installed this thumbnails by waindigo in xf 1.4.7
im just wondering why when i set the thumbnail size to bigger let say 100 x 100
when displayed it will not adjust the thread title ?

The title is adjusted based on the default option setting, which should be larger than the values for all other forums. I appreciate this is not ideal, but it would be quite difficult to change this to do anything else because thumbnails appear in all sorts of other locations where threads from multiple forums can be shown at once.

I don't think there is an easy way (otherwise I'd do it myself). You should change the default option to be at least equal to the largest width.

It did eventually turn off, and once off, I could rebuild thread info.

I then turned it back on, and it works fine (on private test board, for now). Would rather not go through this whenever I need to rebuild caches, concerned it could pop up in other places once in live environment.

It looks like this is caused by using a really long thumbnail URL (in your case, 323 characters long) when the field will only allow 255 characters.

It did eventually turn off, and once off, I could rebuild thread info.

I then turned it back on, and it works fine (on private test board, for now). Would rather not go through this whenever I need to rebuild caches, concerned it could pop up in other places once in live environment.
