XF 1.4 Threadlist alternate colours

I am trying to setup alternate colours in the threadview pages.

I am basically using the CSS from 'ThreadList alternate colours like vb'.

The problem I'm having is the 'messageMeta' div is pushing out the side:


Any ideas or solutions to prevent this?
