My goal is to convert passive members into active participants. I want to restrict access to a specific user group.
Here's the logic I'm looking for:
A member of this group can open and read each discussion only once.
Once they've finished reading, if they try to open the same discussion again, its content is hidden and replaced with a personalized message (call to action) inviting them to participate to gain permanent access.
This restriction should be based on the user's reading history (like the xf_thread_read table) and persist even after their cookies are cleared.
As soon as they access another group, the restriction is lifted.
I can participate in the development of this addon, but it shouldn't be too expensive.
