Lack of interest Thread/Message Selection

Hello,

Normally you can select threads or message by clicking little check box which marked as red in picuter i've attached.

Sometimes when I'm checking threads in thread list its really hard to select lots of threads by clicking that checkbox so it would be great if we could select threads by double clicking in that whole area marked as green in picture.

It would really helpfull.

The developers have stated in the past that double clicking is not good UI as it's not immediately obvious that it's possible or required.
