GBRA Officials Urge Water Conservation

SEGUIN – Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority (GBRA) officials are urging citizens in its 10-county statutory district, which includes Caldwell, Calhoun, Comal, DeWitt, Gonzales, Guadalupe, Hays, Kendal, Refugio and Victoria counties, to conserve water and comply with drought management measures implemented by local municipalities.
The water conservation plea comes amidst the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s recent declaration of 213 of Texas’ 254 counties as a natural disaster area as a result of the extreme drought conditions the state has faced since at least January.

In last 2 months i have seen Ponds/lakes water levels going down and down/ Creeks with deep shallow water dried off . We need some serious rain around the texas .

It's pretty hot all over the nation, really. Here in California, we've had 90+ F for the past few weeks. Today is the coolest it's been for quite some time, and next week it will probably be over 100 F again.

Only one day in the last two weeks did not break 100 f. We have reached 111 f twice this year and it is 106 f right now. August is our hot month.

You can have some of our rain Jon, it has been raining here very heavily for a week now, we have had a bucket collecting a small leak in a patio roof, and it is full from the last week!!!

This particular spot gets a lot of rain in Winter, but most of the country is probably screaming out for it here too!
