The Players Club

Used to be strictly PC, but I switched to a Mac several years ago so I'm on the PS3 now.
OHHH you bring up food for my thoughts. Now I am strictly PC not for anything other than compatibility and the ability to build my own PCs and custom make cases. My lasted project is a Murphy Style bed that folds out of my wall but when raised is a built-in MAME arcade on PC with ultimarc stuffs (this interface is sheer awesomeness) a modded xbox 1.7 and a whole lot of trimmings...the pc part is complete I am now just building the bed which I can sleep on @ this point but I am integrating a whole bunch of things including a ac dc rectifier so I must make sure all my wiring is secure and I don't block myself in, and since there is no schematic for this...I'm kinda just freestyling. (I BABEL)

My original point before I knocked myself off onto another tangent was... what positive things do you get out of a Mac. Like I said before my rambling, I just stuck with PC because that's the stick I've been beaten with my whole life ever since DOS no longer counted as a feasible OS and because of the fact I couldn't build my own I never got around to acquiring one. I was going to get a beastly pro at one point for video editing/capture but at that time I opted to build a video server for the home. What good things could you say for the Mac that could give me a reason to not so much switch but to have another utensil in my toolkit. I would never get rid of pc but I do know of some good video capture devices and their software/ drivers only work for mac and that was the reason I almost got one in the first place. A good friend of mine in the Halo2 modding community swore by macs and he was a beast on nix and video editing so I had no reason not to believe him as he was one of the most standup people I ever had the pleasure of meeting. I'm looking for what you think of Mac as far as your experience goes gaming and everything else included and if you would recommend one to someone who has never even owned a Mac based on being able to get used to the OS GUI.

:)

I gotta big Hi-Res monitor - Looks Fantabulous
I tried this for 360 and didn't like it on the controller, I think by the way the game ran though I would love it with a mouse...gunna have to try this now :-)
OHH just found this too

... Halo Reach but I havn't opened it yet as I'm waiting for someone to play co-op with that actually wants to finish...

Toss me a message. :p Just played through it once, will do it again later, just playing through multiplayer now (finally catching up to threads here... I've been offline since release day). :D

I'll admit I'm a casual gamer in that I don't play a lot of games but the ones that I do get a lot of play time. My collection looks like this:
Halo, Golden Sun, Gears of War, Dead or Alive, BioShock, Portal, and a few others. I try to give a lot of games chances, but there's very, very few I actually find myself going back to.

EQ2012EQ <-- gamertag send me a request I will be on it in the next couple days... for now I have to finish building this bed as sleeping on my bed/arcade machine is a much better alternative than sleeping on the random surfaces I have due to my wild tangents I tend to go on. :-)

I saw the threads about ladies and guys place .. I thought this was going to be the Playahz club :D
Your the first person to bring it up...It was my response to the sexually profiling ladies club :p with a slight misnomer for a title. Good Catch

I'm sure I'll be playing through the weekend. ;)

Don't know if y'all heard the news but Brian Wood, the designer of the online game Company of Heroes died recently in a car crash while he managed to save his wife and unborn child.

I get so mad at this kind of crap people acting stupid and living to go through prosecution and the innocents who get killed without regard because of someone gallivanting drugged up and careless even for their own safety. They need to put that junkie in front of a firing squad and use slingshots with rusty bearings for ammo. Period. I do not even feel remorse for saying that, people like those in the car who killed this family man DO NOT DESERVE LIFE. I am going to go spend time with my family now before I get emotional and banned from here for saying what I really think of people like those dirtbags.

Thank you for posting this I only didn't like the post as for the connotations of liking the message of that post but for sure thank you for this.

I realize the reason for his death is beyond horrid but what he did was noble.

When I first saw it I thought it was that too :p but then when I read the first post I thought I had just been a deviant old lady for even thinking that - now I find it was intentional :p don't feel so bad lol.

What games are you currently playing, I am playing the following games.

  1. World of Warcraft - Burning Crusade / Wrath of the Lich King [PC]
  2. Dragon Age - Origins / Awakening [PC]
  3. Bioshock 2 [PC]

Currently playing Star Trek: Bridge Commander.

She's an old game but in my opinion it can never get old to play.

Have played Doom 1 and 2, and had a quick look at the excellent Doom 3.

More of an adventure gamer, Kings Quest, Monkey Island etc.

Currently playing Lucasart's The Dig, now that's one old game.
Kings Quest, the memories. Gotta love it though. :)

Currently playing Star Trek: Bridge Commander.

Awesome game too. Highly recommend getting the Kobayashi Maru mod pack too while you're at it, hugely expands the game (& improves graphics to the point of my computer going boom if I'm not careful) :p

I'm an avid RPG person. Put a couple hundred hours into Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Waiting for the follow up to that. Currently playing Halo: Reach though and quite happy with it

Yep I have Kobayashi Maru, it's a brilliant mod. I actually upgraded my desktop a fair bit so it would run smoothly.

DS9FX is also a good one to have.
