The number of posts is not correct

I'm not sure if this issue has already been reported.
I have got a forum with 10 threads.
The overview shows that there would be 442 posts.
BUT There are only 432 posts NOT 442.
I checked all threads if there are posts which are disabled for other users.
I know that there are some posts which have been deleted permanently, but it seems, that they where still counted in the overview.
I'm fearing that the statistics will not be correct either.
Could someone check this please?

The first post is also a post ("Beitrag"), but not a reply ("Antwort"). So the counter is correct - every thread ("Themen") has a first post. Counter = Threads + replies.

Sounds plausible.
BUT: In the same forum are 87 threads with 574 answers = 661.
The counter in the frontend of the forum shows 692.

Under Admin CP > Tools > Rebuild caches you can rebuild forum and thread information (and post positions, which is recommended in this case).

If there are any discrepancies then that should resolve it.
