I recently watched my first Swedish movie "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" based on the first novel from Stieg Larsson's best-selling trilogy. Highly recommend for those who like suspense and thriller genres. The movie was in Swedish with English subtitles.
I saw it a few months ago but unfortunately the version I saw was dubbed into English, it was a great film spoilt slightly by the 70s style kung fu movie style dubbing. I would have rather had subtitles.
No kidding. Dubbing takes away originality and energy from the movie. Native language has its own power in expressing emotions and touch created, actually invented, by the movie director and carried out by actors. For that reason, I never watch dubbed versions.
