XF 1.5 The folder is showing as uploads and not forum

I have installed the forum software three times and I wonder if I need to change the folder name prior to the installation? Once it is uploaded and before I begin the install procedure?

I created a Directory named forum and uploaded to that Directory, but the URL is too long and shows as example.com/forum/uploads I then deleted everything then made sure the uploads remained under the public HTML, then it is showing as example.com/uploads in the URL.

Please tell me what I'm doing incorrectly or how to fix what I have installed.

You have uploaded the uploads folder rather than just the contents.

Just drag and drop everything in it to the forum folder in your FTP application.
